If you would like to taste the Olive Oil produced from the olives of this area or you want to bring home a nice and tasty present, we suggest the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced by the “Adega de Borba”. It’s a DOP of North Alentejo resulting from the predominant use of Galega olives (see here for more information).
For your convenience, we have 0.5 L bottles of Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced by the “Adega de Borba” for sale here at Camping Rosário (gift wrapping at a small extra fee). From the same producer, we also have for sale a set of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar (0.25 L bottle each).

Even though it’s not very close to the campsite (43 km), it’s certainly worth to visit the “Herdade do Esporão” in Reguengos de Monsaraz, where you have the possibility to participate to olive oil tasting sessions, and visit the shop with a vast selection of olive oils and wines produced in the Herdade (property) or have a great lunch at their restaurant (see the Restaurant section).
